Stephen Colbert is Delicious…

Charlottesville, VA

After an appropriately Southern dinner of fried catfish and grits, a few beers and triple espressos, we were ready to play The Box with local face-melters Bride Of The Narwhal. The Box is probably only slightly larger than your living room but boasts a full bar, a world class staff, noodles from all over the Orient, and a 6 foot portrait of Mr. Miyagi. By the time we were ready to go on the place was packed, with less than a foot between us and the crowd. Thomas and Bryan went to school in Charlottesville and it showed - every time Thomas began a song he was greeted with cheers of recognition from the audience. In short, Virginia fans are awesome. After our set Bride Of The Narwhal proceeded to blow the doors off not just the Box, but every joint in a four block radius.  We tip our hats to Virginia’s loudest band. But the night wasn’t over yet - DJ Thrash proceeded to spin a playlist of massive proportions. At one point she rocked out the theme song to Ghostbusters. We tip our hats again to Virginia’s most eclectic DJ.

This morning’s breakfast at the Blue Moon Diner was omellettes and eggs and an awe-inspiring display of culinary artistry. We are proud to share with you the Stephen Colbert Pancake. America never tasted so sweet.

Until next time…
